What is career change coaching?
Career change coaching helps you decide what to move into, then take practical steps to make that change happen.
For some people, that means figuring out what they actually want. For others, it means testing possible directions, understanding trade-offs, building confidence, and taking action towards a realistic change.
Good career change coaching does not just throw ideas at you or push you into a leap. It helps you make a more informed decision and follow through on it with confidence.

At Thriveherd, our career change coaches help you explore what fits you, what stands up in reality, and what to do next. That includes the personal side of change – confidence, identity, motivation and fear – as well as the practical side, such as skills, salary, retraining, timing and risk.
UK-based career change coaching, online & International

Thriveherd is a UK-based career change coaching business supporting professionals across the UK and globally, through online sessions and structured support.
We have strong experience supporting clients internationally, including in the US, and we have coaching capacity within the US as well as in the UK. So while our base and core specialism sit in the UK career world, our coaching is not limited to UK residents and we are well placed to support professionals more broadly where the fit is right.

If you are looking for a career change coach UK-based but available online, we can help. And if you are outside the UK and looking for an online career change coach with a thoughtful, practical approach, you are warmly welcome to book a conversation and explore whether we are the right fit for your situation.

2. Options

Generate a focused set of career directions that are both fulfilling and realistic.

Find a direction that excites you — and works in real life
A career change has to do more than sound inspiring. It also needs to work with your money, energy, skills, responsibilities and appetite for risk.
The question is not just what would feel good in theory. It is what kind of work fits you, what stands up in reality, and what kind of route is genuinely viable from where you are now.

What fits you
Understand the work, environments and conditions that are most likely to give you fulfilment, balance, confidence and room to grow.
What stands up in reality
Explore options against salary, entry routes, skills, market demand, lifestyle fit and the practical trade-offs involved.
What to do next
Turn promising directions into evidence, conversations, experiments, applications or a staged transition plan.
Approach career change realistically
Address practical concerns directly, find the best matches, and guide the most positive change possible.
A good career change coach does not ignore those concerns or try to talk you out of them. We help you look at them directly, test what is possible, and work out whether change is worth it, what compromises may be needed, and how to reduce the risk of getting it wrong.
What good career change coaching helps you achieve
The aim is not simply to escape the now. It is to help you move towards work that feels more aligned, more sustainable and more worth the effort of changing for.
With the right support, you can:
understand what kind of work will actually fit you
build a short list of energising, credible options
know what to pursue and what to rule out
create a practical route into change
increase your confidence, self-trust and sense of direction

We're hiring
We're always looking for experienced coaches and specialists who share our values and want to help people build fulfilling working lives.
Why we do this work
Our story began with the individual coaching practices of our co-founders, Paul and Silvana, supporting people who felt stuck, burnt out or misaligned in their work. Over time, they saw a clear pattern: when people found clarity and confidence in their careers, the ripple effect extended far beyond them – into their teams, organisations, families and communities.
They also noticed something that didn’t sit well. World-class coaching is too often the preserve of the few, effectively making access to a fulfilling working life means-tested. Thriveherd exists to change that.
From this commitment grew a team of values-driven coaches, and PEP Talk was shaped as a community-based membership. The result is world-class coaching delivered in a more accessible way, without sacrificing depth, quality or long-term impact.
