Is your current career holding you back?

Our proven process for a more fulfilling work-life
PEP Talk breaks career change into manageable phases. You move through Prepare, Explore, and Plan at a pace that suits your life, not a calendar.
Clarify what fulfilment actually looks like for you
Prepare helps you identify the fulfilment factors that matter most in your working life – including strengths, passions, values, energy drivers and transferable skills. Rather than starting with job titles, you build a grounded picture of what you want to move towards and what you want to leave behind.
The key milestone of this phase is defining up to five career avenues or hypotheses worth exploring. These aren’t commitments or final answers – they’re well-formed starting points that give your exploration focus and direction.
Explore, discover, test and shortlist ideas in the real world
Explore begins with a personalised Career Pathways Analysis, generated using your fulfilment factors from Prepare. This gives you structured, credible starting points and shows you a range of possible directions, pathways and role types – not just obvious job matches.
From there, exploration becomes active. You’ll use a clear LinkedIn exploration method to research real people and real paths, connect with others through the Experiments Club and Authentic Networking Club, and run low-risk career experiments. This phase is about replacing assumptions with evidence and building confidence through action.
Turn evidence into a confident, practical way forward
Plan is where you evaluate what you’ve learned and decide what to pursue. You’ll carry out due diligence on your strongest options, test risks and assumptions, and assess practical considerations such as affordability, timelines and impact on your life.
This phase focuses on confidence-building, risk mitigation and decision-making. You’ll create a realistic plan that balances ambition with security – including budgets, transition steps and contingencies – so you can move forward with clarity rather than second-guessing.

Why we do this work
Our story began with the individual coaching practices of our co-founders, Paul and Silvana, supporting people who felt stuck, burnt out or misaligned in their work. Over time, they saw a clear pattern: when people found clarity and confidence in their careers, the ripple effect extended far beyond them – into their teams, organisations, families and communities.
They also noticed something that didn’t sit well. World-class coaching is too often the preserve of the few, effectively making access to a fulfilling working life means-tested. Thriveherd exists to change that.
From this commitment grew a team of values-driven coaches, and PEP Talk was shaped as a community-based membership. The result is world-class coaching delivered in a more accessible way, without sacrificing depth, quality or long-term impact.

I have successfully found a job in a new sector without much previous experience. I can say loud and clear that I feel very positive!

Before this programme, I felt stuck in a career that no longer held meaning or satisfaction for me.
One month after finishing the programme I’ve been offered a role in my new career, working 100% from home. This could not have worked out any better!

I’ve now got a new job in a meaningful area that I feel passionately about and which genuinely aligns with who I am. I am really excited about my career going forwards!

Questions
Everything you need to know about PEP Talk and getting started.
No – in fact, in some ways, it’s better that you don’t. PEP Talk assumes nothing and everyone starts from a blank canvas.
Most people join PEP Talk because they don’t yet have a clear answer. The programme is designed to help you build clarity through structured reflection, expert‑reviewed options and real‑world exploration, rather than expecting you to arrive with a fixed plan.
If you do have some ideas, that’s fine too – you can test them alongside the new options you develop.
PEP Talk is most commonly joined by mid‑career professionals who are rethinking direction, seeking more fulfilment, or planning a significant shift. It helps if you already have some experience of work, but what matters most is your readiness to engage in the process, not your age or background.
The programme is designed to be clear about what it offers and who it’s for. If you engage and decide it’s not the right fit, you’re not locked in long‑term – it’s a rolling monthly membership and you can cancel easily at any time. Our aim is for people to join with confidence, not pressure.
If you’d like to keep track with others, we run “soft cohorts” – which means everyone who joins in the same month and aims to attend on a monthly basis can move along with each other.
But you shouldn’t be held back or rushed – so you can go at whatever pace makes sense for you. If you want to push ahead intensively, you can. If you want to adjust pace as you go for better balance, no problem.
Group coaching is one session per week, roughly ninety minutes. Clubs and community engagement are flexible—you participate as much as feels right for you. It's designed to fit around your working life, not replace it.
There’s no fixed length. Some members stay for a few months to work through a transition; others stay longer to support experimentation, planning and follow‑through. We’ve seen people complete the full programme in as little as 3 months, but others choose to take much longer. You can leave whenever you like – there’s no minimum term.
For most members, the group programme is both sufficient and effective. The combination of structure, expert guidance and shared learning is what creates momentum. If you want extra focused support at certain points, discounted 1:1 sessions are available – but they’re optional, not required.
Sometimes, 1:1 support can be important if significant obstacles or blocks arise – if you’re unsure, just contact us to discuss and we’ll be happy to give you a clear view.
Group sessions are offered at a mixture of times to help cater for different schedules. Most are either at lunchtime or in the evening on weekdays (UK time). But we scale with demand – so if a number of members want another session or a different time, we’ll make it happen.
Dates are advertised in our events calendar well in advance – so you just need to log into the community and RSVP to your session of choice.
We offer members unlimited support throughout the programme.
The PEP Talk Support Forum is always available for quick responses from coaches and from community members.
PEP Helpdesk Sessions are open-access drop-in hours for practical, focused help via screen share with one of our coaching team – all in addition to your group sessions.
One-to-one coaching sessions are available ad hoc or in packs for anyone who wants focused, personalised support from a specialist coach – but these are always optional, and most members won’t need 1:1 sessions.
Thriveherd is a community and coaching collective focused on career change, growth and fulfilment. We bring together experienced, accredited coaches and a community of people rethinking their working lives, with the aim of making high‑quality career support more accessible, affordable and human.
Rather than offering isolated services, Thriveherd provides a joined‑up ecosystem of programmes, group support, optional 1:1 sessions, specialist expertise and practical tools – so members can navigate change with confidence and continuity.
Is it actually possible to change careers?
Fulfilling career shifts are rarely impossible; the real question is whether the journey is worth it. We replace guesswork with evidence to ensure you only invest energy in viable, exciting paths.
Evidence over Assumptions: Use real-world facts and due diligence to move past fear and define your non-negotiable “red lines”.
Strategic Exploration: Generate a wide range of options (whether fulfilment-first or transferable-skills-first) and narrow them based on what is genuinely viable.
Expert Benchmarking: Access decision-making support and specialist financial coaching to ensure your shortlist is both financially realistic and deeply rewarding.
PEP Talk is a monthly career change membership with no long‑term contract. You can cancel at any time.
We replace financial anxiety with clarity by addressing both your future earning potential and the cost of the transition.
Practical Planning: Gather specific data and create financial projections to ensure your move is both fulfilling and affordable.
Ongoing Support: Access our “Money Confidence” resources, including workshops and advice covering both practical skills and mindset.

You can’t, unless you take a thorough and structured approach to career planning. You can only be sure of your choice when you:
Know what you want and what will make you happy.
Understand all the relevant and practical career choices you could make and what they will turn out like in the real world.
Make a confident decision you’ll be happy looking back on in years to come.
In a nutshell, that’s exactly what PEP Talk is designed for.
The objective of PEP Talk is to guide you to create an exciting and achievable Career Change Action Plan. This means you’ll know where you’re going and you’ll have confidence in yourself, your direction and your transition.
In addition, you’ll set your own unique objectives right at the start, so you can keep you on track to achieve the outcomes that matter most to you.
Our proven PEP Talk approach has helped countless clients discover fulfilling careers. Success stories, confidence-building exercises, and personalised coaching will support you at every step.
PEP Talk isn’t about being told what to do, and it isn’t a self‑study course you work through alone. It’s a guided, interactive programme that combines expert‑reviewed insights, group coaching, community support and real‑world testing, so decisions are grounded and sustainable.
That’s very common, and it’s part of what the programme addresses. PEP Talk is designed to help you build confidence through evidence, experimentation and support – not pressure. You’re not expected to feel certain or brave from the outset.
Our coaches are experts at helping you through this, whether in group or 1:1 sessions – and the programme uses a unique tool, the Career Change Column, to help you space out your exploration and decision-making to help keep those gremlins at bay.
Career change can be isolating, especially when you’re questioning familiar paths or moving away from what’s expected. A community approach reduces that isolation and replaces it with connection, inspiration and shared momentum.
Being part of a community means:
Learning from others who are facing similar questions and decisions
Feeling supported during moments of doubt, uncertainty or low confidence
Gaining inspiration from seeing others test ideas and make progress
Accessing genuine networking that’s grounded, human and purposeful
Many people also discover opportunities through the community itself – conversations, introductions and shared experiences that simply don’t happen when you’re working alone. This sense of belonging and shared progress is a core part of why the programme is effective, not an optional extra.
